Building a strong IP portfolio with significant protection to reinforce company value during an IPO

      Overview

In order to achieve maximum share price when listing on the Australian Securities Exchange our client wanted to strengthen their acquisition and management of technology.  Their activity was spread across South East Asia creating challenges in a consistent approach.

      Our Approach

We developed a technology and IP protection strategy for our clients.  This included reviewing internal procedures and policies to develop a new trade mark and trade secret protection strategy.  Once developed we achieved buy-in from the senior management across the region.  We delivered necessary training and supporting documentation to internal employees. The updated strategy was a critical element of the Prospectus and Listing Opinion for the IPO.

      Value Created

Our client was able to put in place a coordinated trade secrets protection policy across multiple countries in South East Asia to protect its technology, which supported their successful listing on Australian Securities Exchange, raising $50 million AUD.
